Pukeko Preschool Pakuranga Heights is a friendly, loving, family owned and run early childhood education centre for children from birth to five years old.
Our preschool is situated on the grounds of Pakuranga Heights Primary School, this helps with children feeling settled with their siblings right next door and allows for an easy transition to school for your child. We have a friendly and happy teaching team that is passionate about the education and care of your child.
We have a reputation as a high quality early learning centre and preschool, with a focus on education and building confidence in our children through the Reggio Emilia philosophy and we are led by Penny Brownlee's philosophy to follow the children's individual urges - using a fun and well planned curriculum, activities and trips.
We are open between 7:30am and 6:00pm, all year around (including school holidays).

Kia ora and hello. I am Jane Skellern, and I am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. I completed my degree in July 2013 though Manukau Institute of Technology. I have a passion for early childhood education and have thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years of training. I believe that every child should be given every opportunity to grow into happy, healthy, confident individuals.
I started with Pukeko's in February 2013, when we first opened, and have seen the centre grow into an amazing place for your children. We all work extremely hard to ensure that your children are cared for and educated to a high standard. I have 2 young adult children, and we have busy lives with work, pets and family time. I enjoy arts and crafts, and love doing this with the children at Pukeko's.
